'Journey Home' is about an inspiring journey captured by our youth, who returned with a sense of realisation of our community's achievements and our potential to make a difference in the land of our ancestors.
This project is thought to be the most innovative youth project this organisation has ever seen. It has been inspired by the work and teachings of Imam Ali (AS), and for this reason, by the grace of Allah (SWT), the first screening of the documentary will be shown in Jamaats around the world on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Ghadeer (approximately 28 December 2007).
How many of us see the world through narrow slits, rather than open eyes? More importantly; how many of us are aware of this and are still ok with it? Islam encourages us to educate ourselves about the world we live in; beyond the classroom and out into the real world, where there is so much more going on that we take the time to find out about. We had the opportunity to go and visit The World Federation health, housing, water and educational projects and saw the impact charity work can make on peoples lives. We want you to relive our experience by being there to watch 'The Journey Home'.
